Reflections:

Exodus 30:22-33 is the oil initially created for the purpose of consecrating priests and items to be used in priestly service. Oil of Melchizedek is made from a base of some Exodus 30 ingredients (like myrrh and cinnamon) with some additions as directed by the Lord.

Drops of Atoning Blood essentials are added since Jesus is our high priest of the order of Melchizedek (Hebrews 7). Acacia was added because it was the wood used for the ark of the covenant (Exodus 25). Frankincense, hyssop, and salt were added as cleansing and purification. Salt also represents covenant. Numbers 18:19b “It is a covenant of salt forever before the LORD for you and for your offspring with you.” Stacte was added because it was used in the temple as a fragrance before the Lord (Exodus 30:34), frankincense was as well.

The Inspiration:

Meghan (of Dyed4you) received a timely personal word that was confirmed by the Lord which included a reference to an Oil of Melchizedek. The word came from someone who didn’t know of Meghan’s connection to the Scent of Heaven. Meghan brought the word to Carol and after much prayer, Oil of Melchizedek was birthed.
