History

The Lord began whispering to Carol about “Wait Upon the Lord” nearly a decade ago. He was encouraging her to wait on Him – to trust Him. He exhorted her that she always needed to wait on Him – to stay in step with Him and not to get out ahead of Him. To rest in His timing.

Meaning

His timing is perfect and our character and trust is stretched and built as we wait upon Him. It is a discipline that He counts as invaluable. The right action in the wrong timing is disobedience. We must listen – ready to act upon His direction. It is an active waiting – not passive. It’s an expectant waiting – a readiness for Him to move at any moment as we wait upon Him.
