Sarah was a female noble, princess of multitudes.
Her Scent is a light, fresh aroma including essences of Ginger Lily, Honeysuckle blend and Ylang Ylang.
Sarai, whose name means female noble, was Abraham’s wife and at the same time his half-sister (Genesis 11:29; 20:12). She was childless for many years, but in her old age God changed her name to Sarah and announced to Abraham that she would become a mother. “As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name. And I will bless her and also give you a son by her . . . Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, . . . ‘Shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?’ ” (Genesis 17:15-17) In Genesis 21:6 Sarah said “God has made me to laugh, and all that hear will laugh with me.” Both Abraham and Sarah laughed, but, God is faithful to keep His promises. Her son, Isaac, the child of promise, was given a name meaning “laughter.”
Even in her older years Sarah was fair skinned and very attractive. Kings were interested in her and wanted to add her to their harems.
Sarah was chosen as a fitting wife for Abraham and the mother of the nation, Israel.
In the allegory of Galatians 4:22-31 Sarah is a type of the “Jerusalem which is above.” She is also mentioned in Hebrews 11:11 among those of the Old Testament who “all died in faith.”
Even today, God has a calling and a destiny for women. Can you think of anyone in our time she might remind you of?
