A young woman at church approached Carol requesting an oil pertaining to identity. As she prayed about it, God brought Exodus 3:14 to mind. She realized that we have taken the name “I am” and applied it to attributes that do not represent God, or even children of God. For example: “I am stupid; I am no good; I am a failure; etc.” Losing our identity as children of God by not seeing ourselves as God sees us. Carol created the I AM oil and as she shared it with the young woman she was able to say, “I am pretty, I am loved, I am a child of God.” She walked free with her new oil and identity.
We use the words “I am” so often, and too often it is not in a positive context. We must choose to align with what I AM says we are. He is our identity.
